Tree Farm Maintenance Foreman

Accountabilities

1. Reports to the Production/Farms Manager
2. Responsible for the maintenance of our Tree Farms
3. Planting, pruning, staking trees
4. Spraying and weed control program, fertilizing
5. Cutting down trees
6. Promote a safe and healthy environment
7. Able to join other crews as priorities require

Skills Required

1. Horticulture degree or equivalent working experience
2. Extensive knowledge of coniferous and deciduous trees
3. Good communicator, organized with good record keeping skills
4. Works well independently and as part of a team
5. Ability to work weekends as required
6. Fluency in speaking Spanish an asset
7. Pesticide license is an asset. Will provide.
8. Use of farm equipment as tractors, cultivators, chain saw
9. Must have valid G class Ontario Driver’s License
